Gender Roles and Home Schooling

Is homeschooling sexist? Kind of a thought to ponder and perhaps it wasn't one of the beginning thoughts that popped up in your mind, but when we talk about homeschooling conflicts, this is one of the topics that bodies are talking about.

By homeschooling, are we showing our kids particular gender roles that will conform them in their future lives as employers, spouses, and dads. When I was growing up, my ma ma always told me that I could do and be anything I wanted to in life. I have a feeling that she ever had in her conscious mind that this would be giving up my career aspirations and homeschooling my youngsters.

The debaters say we owe it to our children to actually think about what we are guiding our kids through homeschooling and the roles the mom and father play. Its frequent that when concluding to homeschool, most of the time, the ma ma is the one that quits her job to stay at home to be the teacher, encourager, mom, and cultivator. What does this school our youth to think?? Maybe we grasp what it teaches them, maybe we don't, nevertheless whether you are encompassed in this debate or not, it's a good inquiry to ask yourself and bear in mind.

Will our sons mature to think that a women's place is in the home sweet home? Will our youngsters bring to maturity to think they are striving only for love, youth, and a homeschooling standard of living? Will our adolescents bring to maturity to think that they grasp unlimited aptitude? Will our sons be able to work with women in the workplace in a fair manner when their only example of a woman is their homeschooling mom? What are our future boys and son-in-laws in for?

I won't even try to command sides on this objective; all the same I will only leave you with some of the thoughts above.
